Tampa Bay is back on top of the world. In front of their home crowd, the Buccaneers won their first Super Bowl since 2003 winning 31-9.
The win give Tom Brady his seventh championship. It also makes head coach Bruce Arians the oldest to win the Super Bowl.
They played a near perfect game scoring on four straight possessions at one point. Brady also went 21-29 passing for 201 yards and three touchdowns.
Two players thought to be retired caught the touchdown passes. Tight end Rob Gronkowski had 67 yards and two touchdowns, and Antonio Brown had 22 yards and one touchdown.
Also having a solid game was running back Leonard Fournette. He had 89 yards rushing and 46 yards receiving with one touchdown.
It was also the first game in Patrick Mahomes career he did not have a passing touchdown. On top of that, he threw two interceptions.
The story coming in was this was the passing of the guard from Brady to Mahomes, but it is clear Brady is not going to let that title go. Time will tell if he returns but this game quiets the people that said it was all Bill Belichick that created the success of the Patriots.
