The Student Co-op Board of Directors voted in new officers for the 2009-2010 year during their meeting Thursday in the HUB Knowlton Board Room.

Calvin Masilela stepped down from his position as chairperson for the Co-op Board. Masilela first became a member of the board in 2003 and was elected chair of the board in 2005, serving four terms in that time according to Dennis Hulings, Co-op executive director and CEO.

"He truly is a believer in the student Co-op … I truly believe the student Co-op is a stronger organization because of him," Hulings said of Masilela.

Taking Masilela's place on the board for the upcoming year is Mark Staszkiewicz. During the meeting, it was determined that discussions on raising the funding for the athletics department would be held off until the new academic year.
